Taking its popular Privilege rooms and services category to the next level, Ocean by H10 Hotels has introduced enhanced “Privilege a la Carte” services for guests at its luxury beachfront resorts in the Caribbean. 

Beginning in January, 2013, guests who reserve Privilege Junior Suites and other suites at three hotels in Punta Cana, and Riviera Maya will be offered the opportunity to pre-select before arrival to the resort items such as room location, mini bar snacks and beverages, and their choice of pillow type, through its Privilege a la Carte program. 

Prior to arrival, Privilege guests may submit their personalized requests to Privilege Guest Services via the resort website.  Nine a la carte service selections will be available including:

1.     Room location (high or ground floor, for example) in accordance with room type reserved

2.     Advance reservations at a la carte specialty restaurants on evenings of choice

3.     Menu choices for in-room breakfast service the day after arrival at the resort

4.     Mini bar beverages and snacks selections

5.     Preferred in-room welcome amenity (fruit basket or cold cuts, for example)

6.     Preferred pillow type (goose feather, firm, soft, orthopedic)

7.     VIK (Very Important Kid) age-appropriate preferences  

8.     Advance reservations for spa treatments and services

9.     Daily newspaper preference

TripAdvisor has awarded two Ocean by H10 resorts in Riviera Maya, Mexico its coveted Certificate of Excellence award, an honor that recognizes the hotels' consistently outstanding customer reviews on its popular website. 

Ocean Coral & Turquesa, in Puerto Morelos and Ocean Maya Royale, in Playa del Carmen both qualified for the Certificate of Excellence by maintaining an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor.  Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Gemma Espelt, H10 Hotels Marketing Director, picked up the award last Monday at the ceremony held in the Cecilio Rodríguez Gardens in Madrid's Retiro Park. The gala was attended by numerous representatives from the tourist sector and by well-known faces such as the actress Aitana Sánchez Gijón, the television personalities Ana García Siñeriz, Mercedes Milá and Paula Vázquez, the model Martina Klein or the singer Alaska.

The director of the magazine, Sandra del Río, highlighted the fact that it is very important that these awards are decided by the actual readers. "We can regard them as the Oscars of the travel business, and the category of the winners is proof that the readers are well aware of who they are voting for", she said.
